After completing her university studies in the United States, she immersed herself in the Grand Bahama Players and the Freeport Players’ Guild, honing her craft through live performances. Her dedication to acting eventually took her to Vancouver Film School in British Columbia, Canada, where she refined her skills and deepened her artistic expertise.
Upon returning to the Bahamas, Aulenna made a striking debut in the Nassau theatre scene with the Shakespeare in Paradise production of 'Woman Take Two'. She continued to build her reputation with performances in renowned stage productions such as 'Julius Caesar' and 'Clybourne Park', solidifying her presence in the theatre world.
In addition to her stage work, Aulenna expanded into film, securing roles in national productions such as, 'Passage' by Kareem Mortimer and the television series 'Gippie's Kingdom'. She earned her first U.S. acting credit for her role in the movie "Dolphin Summer", marking a significant milestone in her growing career.

As a visual artist, Matthew is known for his bold, expressive portraits and cultural storytelling. He later founded the "It Is What It Is" (IIWII) art gallery in Port Lucaya, which quickly became a creative hub for local artists, poets, and musicians.
